SOLVING BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS WITH VISUALS

Speaker Linda Hodgdon M.Ed, CCC-SLP is a Speech Pathologist who is internationally known for her expertise in developing the use of visuals strategies to support communiation or behavior challenges.  Linda is a powerful and entertaining persenter, author of both Visual Strategies for Improving Communication and Solving Behavior Problems in Autism  & Other Communicatiion Disorders plus a consultant who inspires program participants to accomplish new goals with students.  She shares practical information that helps achieve excellent results in student /child learning.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Parents, Teachers, Speech Therapist, Social Workers, Psycologists, Administrators and others who work or live with students with communication or behavior challenges.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Expanding the use of visual strategies for communication helps tudents significantly reduce behavior problems and increases functional communication.  This program will define the need, discuss training and demonstrate practical ideas for improving behavior and communication at school and at home.

CONFERENCE INFORMATION
Cost:  $120 pp $200 couple (1 book)
Includes:  Continental breakfast, lunch, the book Solving Behavior Problems in Autism and Other Communication Disorders ($40 value), presentation, vendor fair, free parking.

Free Childcare: is available for the first 25 children registered. Cold lunch and change of clothes/supplies need to be provided for the children.

Accomodations:  For conference attendees, Hawthorne Suites, 101 Trade Center Dr, Champaign, (217) 398-3400 is honoring a special rate of $99 per night. Homewood Suites has special rate of $129, contact Ty at 217-359-1151.  Conference code is PROUDD.  Hotels are less than 1 mile from location.

Accreditations:  6 Illinois CPDUs, ASHA CEUs, CEUs for Social Workers, CE for Psychologist, OT, PT and Certificates of Participations available upon request. Participants must be at the conference the whole time to receive credits.

VENDOR FAIR - Many great vendors/organizations will be available for you to view.  Make sure to visit the vendor fair from 7a - 2pm - bring your check books!  Vendors include:  Spectrum Training Systems, Inc books, SuperDuper Products, Discovery Toys, Playaway Swings, Usborne Books,  and others.
